I have been indexing whenever I have a few minutes and I really think it's fun. The other day I was indexing on the 1890 census from Illinois. I got a sheet with a head of house as a woman about 45 and then it listed about 10 white women between the ages of 18 and 24 as borders. I didn't really think anything about it until I moved over to see what their occupations were. I assumed they were students or something....they listed their occupations as....Whore. Crazy. I went a little further down the page and soon there was another head of house as a 50ish woman who was black and she had about 10-15 black young women who were borders. You guessed it they all had occupations as WHORES. They were just a few houses apart. I thought it was pretty crazy and I typed a bunch faster. I thought if anyone needed a little help getting their names and information ready to do temple work for them these ladies were it!! Very Interesting!!

Halloween!! We had so much fun. Luci and I went to KC's class to help with the party. I brought foam pumpkins to decorate and then we watched the costume parade at the school. Right after school we all loaded up and participated in our favorite Halloween tradition. We went to Daniel's office and trick-or-treated all of the offices. The kids love this. Daniels company goes all out. Everyone dresses up and decorates. They turn out lights and have cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The kids came home with their bags COMPLETELY full. Once we got home the girls went knocking doors with the neighbor girls and Brian went out with a bunch of his friends. Finally, we went over to my sister Jana's house and had meat pies (ala Sweeny Todd - the edited PG-13 version)!! Good Fun! Mom always gives a dollar bill to everyone of the kids, even the married ones. Tradition!!

School is starting TOO soon!
Luci and I will be participating in our neighborhood Joy School. I've done this for pre-school for all of the kids and now I can't believe it's my babies turn. We'll be having 7 mom's and kids participating so it'll be fun fun fun. KC got the teacher she wanted and so did Jessica. Brian doesn't know who his teacher will be yet. He's in the 6th grade ths year and with the new charter school in town and ALA in SF there were low student numbers. I'm so very happy that they are keeping the 6th graders in the elementary now. I'd hate to send my little 180 lb. 5'8" 12 year-old on a bus all the way to Payson.
Brian is playing pads football this season and we are very excited to watch him play! YEAH!
Jessica is still losing and growing back hair in different spots. Check us out at www.alopeciaworld.com it's fun to see all the cute little bald kids.

SUMMER Is Passing me by!!
WOW.... I'm so busy all of the time that I actually forgot I had started this whole blog thing. We are well into the summer and I've been having a lot of fun. I've not got nearly half the things done that I wanted to. Daniel and I went on really fun trip with my siblings and their spouses. We were so busy. We went to Washington, D.C. and saw it all. I mean that!!! It was CRAZY. We also did the whole family reunion thing at the cabin. That was really relaxing and just so much fun to play games together and hang-out. The kids all love playing with their cousins. We've been going to the pool, library, baseball games, camping, and running around renting out the Waverunners. So fun!

Mormon MOM
Okay, so this is it. ME BLOGGING! It's the day before Mother's Day and because my 4 kids are soooooo excited to share their classroom mother's day creations the shelf in my kitchen is filled with handmade cards, paper flowers, and little books of poems. Being a mormon mom my Mother's Day is going to be a very busy one so it's probably a really good thing that I've already opened those wonderful little presents from my kids. I've still got to figure out a singing time lesson for tomorrow, make a relish tray to take to dinner at my sisters, and wrap gifts and make my own paper created cards for my sisters and sister-in-law. I'd love to say I plan to sleep in, eat breakfast in bed, and read a book or watch TV all day but that is just not the way life works for a Mormon Mom.
